Lindsay Linton Buk is the author of Women Shaping the West: Stories from Wyoming.

She is a fifth-generation Wyoming native, based in Jackson Hole, whose work as an author, artist, and photographer is driven by active listening, storytelling, and bridging differences. She is a sought-after speaker on bringing a dream to life.

Her work creating her “Women Shaping the West” project generated national attention, with features including Forbes.com, PRX Radio, The Travel Channel, among many others. Her accompanying exhibit for the project has been presented at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West (Wyoming’s only Smithsonian museum), the University of Wyoming Art Museum in Laramie, WY, the Center for the Arts and Arts Association Galleries in Jackson, WY, and the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, OK, to name a few.

Lindsay earned her B.A. in History from Middlebury College, followed by an AAS in Photographic Communications at Northwest College. Before returning to Wyoming, Lindsay worked as a portrait photographer in New York City, with mentorship from famed photographers Rodney Smith and Peter Hurley, as well as an educator for Canon's "Photography in the Parks" program. 

Lindsay serves as Chair of the advisory board for the Wyoming Women's Foundation, working towards economic self-sufficiency and opportunities for girls in Wyoming.
